Youngster Endrick could depart Real Madrid this summer if he isn’t guaranteed more minutes next season.
The 18-year-old Endrick, signed from Palmeiras last summer as one of football’s most exciting young talents, has featured in 33 matches across all competitions. However, his minutes have been restricted, with his first La Liga start only coming in Wednesday’s 1-0 victory over Getafe.
Endrick has accumulated just 700 minutes under Ancelotti this season, raising fears he may lose confidence in breaking into an attack featuring Vinícius, Mbappé and Rodrygo. Relevo reports the teenager is determined to avoid another stagnant campaign and has already informed Madrid of his willingness to go on loan next season to secure regular playing time.
Endrick’s 64-minute outing against Getafe backfired as he squandered two clear chances, drawing pointed criticism from Ancelotti afterwards.
“For the first, I think he couldn’t have done much better. The second might have been offside but he has to learn from that. Young players need to strike the ball properly, not this theatrical stuff. Theatre in football doesn’t exist,” the coach said.
Endrick is expected to be among the substitutes when Real Madrid face Barcelona in this weekend’s Copa del Rey final, before their La Liga clash with Celta the following week.
