Bruno: This season is not enough, we can win PL one day!
Bruno Guimaraes insists Newcastle can win the Premier League in the future and feels they might have been in the title race this season with more home victories.
Despite securing the Carabao Cup and closing in on a Champions League spot, the midfielder says that still “isn’t enough” for his ambitions.
“This (being at Newcastle) has been better than I thought. When I sat here with you three years ago I’d have never said I’d be captain and be able to speak English the way I am now. But I always said we’d win a trophy and play Champions League.
“This city will always be in my heart when I retire. And I will bring my children back to Newcastle to realise where they were born.”
“I really believe we can win the Premier League one day. Not sure if that’s next season or the season after. If we had won the few home games we lost and should have won we would be challenging at the top.

“If we can add three or four players (this summer) we have a great group of strong players. We need to make it bigger with more experienced players.
“For me, the Cup is not enough. I want more. The most difficult is the first step and we did that. I now want to finish second, get Champions League and win more things next season. I don’t know when but I believe we can win the Premier League one day.
“I’m very excited about the future of this club and I hope I am part of it.”
