The French international offered no justification for his dangerous tackle and was said to be visibly distraught over the incident.
Following the final whistle, Blanco confirmed to journalists that Mbappe had personally apologized to him for the incident: “It was a strong tackle, I spoke with Kylian, he apologized and there is no problem, these are actions that can happen in football.”
