The current world champions defeated their arch-rivals Brazil 4-1 on Tuesday, with goals from Julian Alvarez, Enzo Fernandez, Alexis Mac Allister, and Giuliano Simeone. Matheus Cunha netted a consolation goal for Brazil. This victory extended Argentina’s lead to eight points at the top of the CONMEBOL 2026 World Cup qualifying table.
