Cristiano Ronaldo hints he might extend his career for a further decade, after discovering his physiological age as the 40-year-old Al-Nassr star.
After learning his physiological age, Cristiano Ronaldo hinted he could keep playing for a decade longer.
WHAT HAPPENED?
After analyzing the 40-year-old’s physiology, the Whoop platform revealed his body age to be just 28.9. The Portuguese star was stunned by the findings and quipped he might extend his career by ten more years.
WHAT RONALDO SAID
He told Whoop: “I can’t believe it’s so good. This means I’ll play for another ten years. When you’re young, you think you’ll live forever, that you’ll always be strong, that you’re unbreakable. At 25 it’s not the same as when you’re thirty, especially in football. I still feel good, I prioritize recovery and sleep much more than before.”
THE BIGGER PICTURE
At 40 – well beyond the typical retirement age for footballers – Ronaldo continues to defy expectations. The former Manchester United star, now approaching 940 career goals, remains determined to achieve his 1,000-goal milestone. These latest physiological results suggest he might even extend his career beyond that target.
WHAT NEXT?
Ronaldo faces an uncertain future as his Al-Nassr contract approaches its June expiration without renewal. While speculation grows about potential transfers, the Real Madrid legend must first complete his Saudi Pro League campaign with two remaining matches.
