Cristiano Ronaldo has erased Manchester United from his past, delivering a harsh snub to the Red Devils in a promotional video.
The Portuguese legend is focused on relaunching his ‘Legacy’ fragrance line, which first debuted a decade ago. As he reflects on past accomplishments, he’s also revisiting earlier moments in his career.
Legacy is more than a fragrance! It’s a reflection of my journey and I’m very happy to celebrate its 10th anniversary relaunching it in a newly designed bottle and with a more modern design.#CR7 #CR7FRAGANCES #CR7LEGACY #AD pic.twitter.com/r5oXZcIWik

However, there is one glaring omission from the production created by Ronaldo and his team. He can’t argue that it’s only about the past decade, as the video—which he describes as a “reflection of my journey”—also highlights his early days at Sporting.
After returning to the beginning, Ronaldo’s montage transitions to scenes of him celebrating victories with Real Madrid—where he became the club’s all-time top scorer—and Portugal. It also features a clip of him lifting the only trophy he has won since joining Al-Nassr in the Saudi Pro League.
Juventus, where Ronaldo won two Serie A titles, and Manchester United are notably absent. This omission comes despite the football legend beginning his rise to superstardom at Old Trafford, where he claimed the Premier League, Champions League, and his first of five Ballon d’Or awards.
At 40 years old, Ronaldo remains determined to reach 1,000 career goals. However, he may still hold resentment over how his second stint at Manchester United ended in 2022, when his contract was terminated following a controversial interview with Piers Morgan that severed professional ties.
